A Rescue Story Since 1790
From Demolition to Destination
In 1790, a historic farmhouse was built to withstand the centuries. By the time two longtime friends discovered it, the house was only days from demolition. What others saw as a relic ready to be torn down, they saw as a place worth saving.
At 256 Route 236 in Berwick, Maine, the farmhouse sits by a quiet roadside, its barn just steps away, and beyond them 9 acres of private woodland reach back toward the Salmon Falls River. The setting blended history with a sense of rooted New England landscape.
Their chance visit soon became a shared mission to restore the farmhouse with care. Today, it stands renewed as two luxury apartments, each preserving the home’s authentic 18th-century character while offering modern comfort for an unforgettable Maine retreat.

A Work in Progress
-
Early Days – January

Back in January, we finally wrapped up the house. After months of work, it was a big relief to see that part of the job finished and standing on its own. The barn, on the other hand, was just getting started.
